Last call for advertisers for ASFAR issue 35

The new issue of A Short Fanzine About Rocking is scheduled to go off to the printers over the Easter weekend (i.e. next weekend), so if you want to advertise in there, this is your last chance to get in touch!

Interviews with all these bands feature in the new issue: The Ghost Inside, Rotting Out, Madball, Shai Hulud, The Rival Mob, Hammers, Homewrecker, Birds In Row, New Morality, Bleak Reality and The Cut-Ups. Plus a plethora of gig/record/zine reviews and columns.

It’s shaping up to be a great issue, and advertising in there is super-cheap! It’s just £20 for a full page advert (A5, black and white) and £10 for a half page.

The deadline for copy is Friday 29th March, so if you want to get involved, drop me an e-mail now via ashortfanzineaboutrocking@yahoo.co.uk

ASFAR Spring 2013 issue update

The spring 2013 issue of A Short Fanzine About Rocking will hopefully be all done and dusted by the first week in April. I know I’d planned to get it out mid-March, but real life has got in the way (again).

Hopefully it’ll be worth the wait. The new issue will definitely feature interviews with The Ghost Inside, Shai Hulud, Madball, Birds In Row, Hammers, Bleak Reality and New Morality. I’m also hoping to get a chat with The Rival Mob in there and there’s one other I’m working on but don’t want to mention just yet.

It’ll also feature a whole host of columns, as well as plenty of gig/record/zine reviews.

ADVERTISING - I can still squeeze in a few more adverts, so if you’re interested in advertising in the new issue, get in touch! It only costs £20 for a full page (A5, black and white) and £10 for a half page and your ad will be seen by loads of people. Honest.

STOCKISTS - If you’re interested in stocking the new issue when it’s out, get in touch about the bulk rates I offer for wholesale (i.e. 4 copies or more).

Any questions, or to get involved in any way, e-mail ashortfanzineaboutrocking@yahoo.co.uk

Advertisers/reviewers/columnists needed!

I’m aiming to get the new issue of A Short Fanzine About Rocking out by the end of March, but I need some things to make that happen…

ADVERTISERS

It’s dead cheap to advertise in the zine, and your advert will be seen by loads of people who spend way too much money on music/merch/stuff. Our advert rates are £20 for a full page and £10 for a half page, and the deadline for advert copy is March 15th. If you want to get involved, drop me an e-mail via ashortfanzineaboutrocking@yahoo.co.uk.

REVIEWERS

I still have a pile of CDs I need to get reviewed in the next issue. They’re mainly punk and metal, but there’s a bit of other random stuff as well. If you’ve got some prior experience of writing reviews, or can at least string a sentence together, and want to get involved, drop me a line via the e-mail address above.

COLUMNISTS

Much the same thing as above goes for columnists. If you fancy ranting about something music-related, hit me up via the contact above.

Look out for further details on exactly what the next issue will feature in the next couple of weeks. It’ll be good, I promise.

Next issue update - advertisers and contributors needed!

I’m aiming to get the brand new issue of A Short Fanzine About Rocking out  by late February/early March, so here’s a quick update on what’s going on with it…

We’ve got interviews with Birds In Row, Bleak Reality, The Cut Ups and Madball (the last one’s a bit short) in the bag. I’m also in the process of sorting interviews with New Morality and Homewrecker, plus a couple of bigger names who I don’t want to mention yet unless I jinx them!

I really need two things:

ADVERTISERS - it only costs £20 for a full page advert or £10 for a half page, and the zine almost always sells out of its 250+ copies print run. If you run a label/shop/distro, have got a release you want promote or generally just want to advertise to people who spend lots of money on music, then get in touch.

CONTRIBUTORS - I’ve always got some CDs that need reviewing, but more importantly I’d like to have lots of columns in the new issue. If you want to write up to 500 words on something music-related, drop me a line.

DEADLINES - the deadline for any CDs/records/zines to be submitted for review in the new issue is February 15th. The deadline for advert copy (always flexible) is currently February 22nd.

LAST ISSUE - I’ve sold out of copies of the winter 2012 issue, but some stockists still have copies available, including V-Revolution in Manchester, All Ages Records in Manchester, Ghost Town Records in Cardiff, Punker Bunker in Brighton and Piccadilly Records in Manchester. Check out ashortfanzineaboutrocking.tumblr.com/stockists for a full list.

Any questions, drop me an e-mail via ashortfanzineaboutrocking@yahoo.co.uk
